Getting grocery list and shopping done for my 672 cupcakes that need to be made for next week at The Festival on the Neuse. Just a little butter and little sugar.
While traditional cupcakes are sweet and popular among our small and young generation, we
wanted to create a new cupcake tradition that entices the more experienced palette and those
palettes that are looking for exciting new combinations and of course, some traditional favorites.
Some of our recipes are sweet "and" savory. Our signature recipe, "The Peppered Cupcake"
says it all. A family owned pound cake recipe modified with orange marmalade to add
moistness, topped with cream cheese and a hint of horseradish, then a light sprinkle of fresh
crushed black pepper. Need we say more?
